First Time in Ladakh — I Had It All Wrong

I thought I knew what kind of trip it would be. Adventure, landscapes, maybe some monasteries. Tick the big things. Come home with a story. But Ladakh does this thing where it slows you down whether you want it to or not. The altitude forces it. The roads force it. Even the ladakh trip package we were on — which had a pretty full schedule — couldn’t rush Ladakh. That place has its own timing.
